Kindergartens should finally be free for all. Educationally deprived families in which the money is more scarce than in academics households would send their children then the age of three, and not only in preschool there. Many still think that education begins only at school. But the course will be made before long. There are three-year-olds who are on their parents parked for hours in front of the television. In response to their questions, they listen only: "But you're still too young."
Most important is the support in German from initial kindergarten year – not only in preschool, as at present. This is far too late and also much too short to make up for all that their peers from educated families – with which disadvantaged children need to measure so the first day of school – of course have noticed for years. Who gets to speak German badly, not only in the German language problems, but everywhere. Language development from the first year of kindergarten at the Free State would cost a lot of money. But compared to the sums with which he subsidizes the universities, is spent on early childhood education shockingly little.
Even in elementary school, there must be a legal entitlement to a full-time course. Good day schools can compensate for disadvantages that has about a child from a family in which no German is spoken and where the parents do not know the difference between high school and middle school know. All-day schools shall ensure, inter alia, that all students get help with their homework. Studies show that this compensatory effect is seen on the educational opportunities to but only at day schools, which are staffed and spatially sufficient.
The funds currently available for the full school day available rich, but not front and back. What is missing, above all, are teachers who may, for example, practice with weaker students in small groups. The current system reinforces the unequal educational opportunities because of the international comparison early classification of fourth-graders in middle school students, high school students and high school students. Be made because the earlier the stage for future education, the stronger the influence of parents on the decision: mothers and fathers who were not even in high school shy, often against sending their child there, even if the has requisite grades.
